Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a background in sales leadership and a passion for driving team growth and success. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers, and driving business development through strategic planning and execution. Starting at $85k - $120k based on experience and commission


Requirements

  • 3 years of industry experience
  • 3 years of leadership experience
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Professional association involvement


Responsibility + Expectations

Lead Wholesale Sales Team

  • Recruit and manage a team of talented and engaged employees
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture
  • Provide leadership, strategic direction, and a vision of growth for each employee
  • Coach and develop employee characteristics to match their Team Member Profile
  • Train and develop employee skills to match their Team Member Profile


Manage Sales Team Performance

  • Department growth challenging/attainable sales goals, sales incentives, etc.
  • Stay current on Shipleys Risk Management Policy
  • Provide direction and assistance to proactively manage AR, credit, and default risks.
  • Suggest improvements to department and company processes and policies


Business Development

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to SFM Sales Team
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers
  • Provide competitive sales incentives that strategically align company and employee sales goals
  • Encourage team member participation and leadership in industry groups
  • Develop and continually improve processes between Sales and Operations
  • Ensure pricing strategies are in line with department objectives
  • Recommend capital spending projects that will benefit company growth


Customer Experience

  • Provide guidance and leadership to promote a customer centric mindset amongst all employees
  • Work with the VP of CX to continually improve SFMs customer experience
  • Seek out regular customer feedback to share with the team


Budgeting

  • Develop an annual sales strategy & budget for the department
  • Manage and negotiate annual contract terms
  • Develop processes to ensure accurate daily reporting of sales volumes and profits
  • Review monthly P&L performance with the General Manager of Shipley Fuels Marketing


Internal Meetings and Committee Memberships

  • Daily Huddles
  • Weekly Meetings with Direct Reports
  • Monthly Direct Report Development Meetings
  • Weekly EOS Meetings
  • Monthly Team Unity Meetings
  • Special Events Attendance & Support


External Industry and Community Leadership

  • Attendance at industry conferences
  • Regular Customer/Sales support meetings
  • Semiannual Study Group meetings
