Overview:
The primary purpose and function of the Manager Production Support, People Systems is to provide user support, delivery, and maintenance of the organization’s HR systems. In addition, this role is responsible for the daily supervision of the People Systems Coordinators to ensure day-to-day operation needs are met. The Manager, People Systems will ensure a high level of data and process integrity in the day-to-day use of the HR systems, facilitate end user training, and provide effective and efficient customer service to internal users. This includes ensuring all employee information is accurate; team is supported and operates effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise People Systems Coordinators and manage day to day operations for the team. Provide coaching for team members for growth to all system administrative function.
- Constantly monitor workload for team and identify trends which increase transaction/requests and workload; report the trends to management regularly with highlighted areas of concern and recommendations.
- Ability to analyze existing processes (both systemic and manual) and recommend optimization and improvements; ensuring that business units and other departments are informed and educated for expert utilization of changes.
- Provide high level analytical support on ad hoc projects or requests.
- Serve as subject matter expert and a key resource for operational aspects of HR Systems, primarily Workday.
- Collaborate with People System configuration analysts to provide requirements / design review and approval, provide UAT and QRG development for small and large projects.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in HR processes, learning modalities and systems with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support and applying key concepts/technologies. Examine trends in HRIS, training, materials, and techniques.
- Assist in the review, testing, documentation and implementation of HR system upgrades or patches.
- Maintain HR system tables (such as job code table, department table, process level table, position table).
- Facilitate system training and communication as needed.
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, IT or related field
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in HRIS, including a system implementation.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Workday system (HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting).
- Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience leading team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be experienced user of MS Office Suite. Must have the ability to create pivot tables and VLOOKUPs in Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities; strong data analysis acumen and focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of overall HR functional areas and HR business processes, as well as interdependencies with Payroll, IT, and Finance.
- Must have broad high level of understanding of the Workday system and be comfortable with:
- Business process architecture
- Functional areas and associated configurations
- Base master data setup (supervisory organization, security roles & assignments, cost center configuration, tenant setup, etc.)
- EIB configuration and processing
- Report definitions and usage
- Security configuration and systemic impacts
- Recommend standardization of processes and configurations based on best practice and experience
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental company.
