POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrative Coordinator for Women's Health demonstrates understanding of community resources and communicates and collaborates effectively with agencies and hospital personnel. The position requires contact with providers, office staff and pregnant women and families.
This position is responsible for overseeing and completing the Perinatal Risk Assessment (PRA) process for all obstetrical patients, as well as ensure the required reporting timeframes are met. The Administrative Coordinator for Women's Health will monitor the process and reporting the State of NJ as required.
This position oversees the process of ensuring that all delivered moms have a post-partum follow-up appointment scheduled as soon as 3 weeks after delivery. This position may also assist with patients' insurance needs, when possible (ie, completing presumptive eligibility paperwork)
The Administrative Coordinator for Women's Health will also have community involvement and participate in community speaking engagements, supporting educational topics related to women's health.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years' experience required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of healthcare terminology and market basics preferred. Proficiency in computer tools preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position 30-60 days from date of hire.

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier. Occasional driving also required. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership.
