Position Title: Automation Engineer (Software)

Location: Milpitas

Position Summary:

• Design new automated equipment
• Implement robotic and other equipment upgrades
• Propose and develop concepts for automation projects
• Identify repetitive failure mechanisms
• Generate and maintain project plans
• Execute projects in accordance with the plan
• Conduct brainstorming and concept review meetings
• Generate project deliverables
• Train others on proper equipment setup and operation
• Generate and update work instructions

Job Requirements:

Education: B.S. in Software Engineering or equivalent

Experience: Some work experience a plus

General Requirements:

• Ability to write code in languages, such as C++ and Visual Basic
• Hands-on experience with programming automatic/robotic equipment
• Logical trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in project management
• Detail-oriented
• Fast learner, self-motivated, and accomplishment driven
• Skilled in use of MS Office computer applications
• Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report

Physical Attributes Required:

• Sitting, standing, walking, and computer use up to 8 hours/day
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills
• Physical ability to lift 25+ pounds
