Job description

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) with Shoal Creek's PHP is integral to the functioning of this program, assisting with patient flow, unit organization, and clinical documentation. Responsibilities include preparing the unit for patient arrival each morning, welcoming patients to the program and ensuring their needs are met, communicating with patients and their support systems regarding attendance and insurance, distributing daily paperwork, assembling patient charts, and stocking/ordering supplies.

This position is for full-time days, Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm. The PHP BHT will be provided the training necessary to perform BHT duties on other units within the hospital, and may sign up for additional/overtime shifts on a voluntary basis.

High school diploma or GED is required. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of hire date. Experience in a healthcare or administrative assistant role is preferred.

Ascension Seton Shoal Creek is a 501(c)(3) non-profit psychiatric hospital providing a continuum of psychiatric services for adults experiencing mental health crises related to mood, substance use, personality, or thought disorders, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Ascension Seton Shoal Creek's Partial Hospitalization Program is an outpatient Dialectical Behavior Therapy-based day-treatment program including psychiatry, social work, nursing, and yoga therapy components.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
