Job description

We are looking to a hire a highly motivated and ambitious scientist with expertise in computational biology or bioinformatics to join our team at Weill Cornell Medicine located in New York City. Our group has a strong interest and expertise in translational cancer research and investigates the molecular mechanisms underpinning drug resistance to chemotherapy.

Successful candidates should have: a PhD with research experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical informatics, statistics or computer science, a strong publication record and proven track record of methodology development and/or large-scale data analysis, experience in managing files under Linux based HPC system, proficiency in programming in Python, R or other languages, top written and communication skills to effectively engage academic collaborators, including wet-lab scientists. In addition, team spirit is a must. The successful candidate will work in an innovation-focused team to answer challenging biological questions in a data-driven manner.
