Summary: Responsible for pulling cylinders and providing them to gravure presses according to the Print schedule, making new doctor blades for gravure presses, bio-blasting cylinders (as needed) upon return from gravure presses, and scoping for cell cleanliness and cylinder wear.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Follows print schedules to pull print cylinders from racks, install bearings and deliver loaded cylinder carts to appropriate gravure presses.
• Returns cylinders to correct rack space after inspection.
• Responsible for making new doctor blades for the presses.
• Responsible for inspecting returned cylinders (using Tegatron machine) from press to ensure gravure cells are clean and cylinder wear is minimal.
• Operates bio-blast machine to clean print cylinders as needed.
• Maintains all cylinder cleaning logs.
• Assist with plant projects and tasks as directed by the Print Department Supervisor-Quality or the Print Department Supervisor -Production.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Must have a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must have strong Reading and writing skills
• Ability to grip, manipulate, and carry up to 50lbs repetitively
• Ability to use hand tools: wrench, wiper, utility knife, etc.
• Work standing on feet two to three hours between breaks.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations

Qualifications: Minimum one-year previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
