The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the maintenance and repair for Insight facilities. The Maintenance Technician I contributes to providing the overall safety of Insight’s work environment.

What you’ll do at Insight

  • General maintenance of the building including but not limited to:
    • Repair and painting of exterior/interior walls
    • Minor electrical/plumbing repairs/installations
    • Dismantling/assembly of modular workstations
    • General building maintenance & cleaning of the premises
    • Minor carpentry repairs/installations
    • Upgrading/replacing building components
    • Maintaining physical appearance of local facilities
  • Serves as backup to the Switchboard Receptionist, Maintenance Technician, and Mailroom Associate position, as required.
  • Provide security for the building.
  • Daily closing of the building along with activation of the alarm systems.
  • Interaction with contractors and vendors.
  • Make deliveries to multiple Insight facilities and public post office.
  • Other departmental functions and projects as directed/required by management.

What you’ll need to join Insight

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one to two years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Capable of working at heights with ladders/powered lifts/scaffolding.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills in conjunction with good verbal & written communication skills

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
