Omaha Steel is currently seeking a reliable individual as a .
Responsibilities include:
- Operate oxygen torch to burn off casting gates and risers in castings
- Load, unload, and transfer castings properly to and from tables
PLEASE NOTE TRAINING FOR THIS POSITION WILL OCCUR ON 1ST SHIFT AND WILL NOT TRANSITION TO 2ND SHIFT UNTIL FULLY STAFFED.
Shift Hours: 1st: 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.; 2nd: 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Requirements
Entry level qualifications:
- Basic math skills
- Must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 100 lbs. (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. and assistance is readily available.)
- Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment
- Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others
