Job description
St. J ‘s Collaborative (made up of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Townsend, Our Lady of Grace Parish in Pepperell/Groton) is currently looking for a part-time Business Manager to manage the finances. This position would be approximately 17 hours per week. Mondays for six hours is required, the remaining hours are flexible. You would need to be able to work in the parish office in Townsend.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
- Prepare the Annual Budgets for the parishes, Annual Report to the Parishioners, Monthly and Quarterly reports for the Pastor and Finance Council and all other miscellaneous reports as needed.
- Manage bookkeeping functions including, but not limited to, payables and receivables and all other revenue and expenses of the parishes.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements in a timely manner.
- Oversee the weekly Offertory process.
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Maintain the Online Giving program, record donations in parish database, prepare end of year tax statements for parishioners.
- Maintain the weekly Offertory envelope system as needed.
- Maintain online giving section on parish website posting any RCAB 2nd or Special collections.
- Meet with Finance Council on quarterly basis.
- Oversee the management of parishes’ operational and financial records.
- Create financial information content for weekly bulletin.
- Oversee computer and database management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in business, accounting, or related field
- Experience handling confidential, sensitive, timely and critical matters using good judgment, respect and discretion.
- Demonstrated experience in finance and accounting; Intacct accounting software experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
- Experience in administering payroll.
- Demonstrated experience in appropriate computer technology skills; must be proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite type software.
