CSET is seeking to fill positions within our Supported Employment/SAFE program

Qualified candidates must be motivated, knowledgeable, and willing to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds including those with lived mental health issues. The eligible individuals will assist with conducting presentations, job readiness workshops, case management, and training/job placement activities. Have the ability to assist in motivating individuals to become self-reliant. Must be able to conduct presentations and workshops as needed. Excellent and strong communication and customer service skills are required along with the ability to work independently while multi-tasking with particular attention to detail. Have strong Organizational Skills, Knowledge, and experience in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to input data and assist in preparing reports. Bilingual preferred.


SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to recruit potential clients or employers, provide outreach in low-income
communities as well as determine eligibility and enrollment into agency programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
Collects, organizes, and analyzes information about individuals through records, tests, interviews and
professional sources, to appraise their interests, needs, aptitudes, or abilities for service planning.
Maintains weekly case management files, documents contracts with participants, employers, school staff
and other partners and provides progress notes regarding customer job placement and ISS revisions to PSI
Department.
Interprets, adheres to, and implements program directives for program elements, design, and interpretation
of Workforce Investment Act.
Develops plans and strategies to meet contractual goals and obligations including enrolling clients in
programs, determining job placement, and evaluating client progress to determine services.
Develops and evaluates courses to assist customers in developing job skills to assist in meeting
workforce/educational goals.
Serves as liaison between program partners to provide employment services and customized activities and
events.
Develops leadership activities to assist customers in gaining leadership skills and create involvement in
community service.
Facilitates orientations to recruit, provide information, and market services on occupational and labor
market information.
Evaluates customer needs and determines appropriate resources and referrals.
Provides enrollment and termination information to PSI Department on a timely basis.
Compiles and studies occupational, educational, and economic information to aid in making and carrying
out vocational and educational objectives.
Performs other duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position assists in the supervision of specific programs and is responsible for supervising
participants, trainee's and volunteers as designated. This position can also serve as an office lead staff
person servicing satellite offices and their staff members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Possession of a Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and/or one to two years
related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum one-year experience providing services to low-income persons.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures for recording & tracking purposes.
Ability to apply basic recordkeeping principles.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
California Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
