Our organization is looking for an organized and dependable professional to join our team of Administrators. Our ideal candidate will have ample experience facilitating high-volume data entry, as well as excellent administrative and project management skills. A successful Administrator has the ability to efficiently prioritize workloads, maintain strict deadlines and effectively communicate with team members. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance of IT infrastructure.
  • Manage the configuration of computers and related software.
  • Manage other people's work.
  • Coordinate with other departments.
  • Arrange office events, facilities, and catering, when required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all assigned administrative functions for the Pastor. Assist with administrative functions for the Music Director, Director of Christian Education, Financial Secretary, and Communications Coordinator. Some supervision of Sexton.
  • Organization and maintenance of yearly church calendar.
  • Distribution and dissemination of all mail and correspondence.
  • Screening and routing of all calls.
  • Coordinate schedules for weddings – screening the initial calls for type of wedding, cost, discussion of wedding policy with bride and wedding planner, plus all follow-up to the wedding date.
  • Prepare materials for baptisms, funerals, and all special events.
  • Prepare, proof, and print weekly bulletins (volunteer folds bulletins).
  • Keep accurate membership records (new members, transfers, baptisms, wedding, funerals) for Session and Savannah Presbytery.
  • Prepare and maintain all annual reports for Congregational Meeting.
  • Prepare agenda and all materials for Stated Session Meetings and Called Session Meetings.
  • Maintain and up-date all standard forms and ministry literature.
  • Prepare brochures and materials for mailing to church members and individuals outside the church, for example Music with a Mission and Stewardship Campaign.
  • Assist Committee Chairs with correspondence.
  • Maintain attendance records and vacation schedules for staff.
  • Keep the directory and database current
  • Manage communications.
  • Work with the communications coordinator to oversee the design and production of all church digital and printed communications.

· Implement and oversee processes and procedures for the use of facilities (calendar).

· Support the Financial Secretary by coordinating requests for expenditures from the staff and keeping on file all contracts for projects.

· Promote a collaborative work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
