Job description
This is NOT a remote position and requires the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to conduct tasks at the San Francisco VA Medical Center in San Francisco, CA.
Under the general direction of Principal Investigator Dr. Michael Weiner and with oversight from the supervisor, the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will facilitate study recruitment and retention effort for a large in-clinic studies involving the Brain Health Registry research study (BHR). The CRC will be responsible for study recruitment and retention efforts for these validation studies, which will include assisting with contacting potential, new and/or existing participants and community outreach. This effort will require using discretion and independent judgement for feedback and interactions with participants. The CRC will conduct all administrative tasks such as preparing study materials, assist in writing manuals, scheduling all appointments, maintaining CHR/IRB updates, and data entry. This position will be trained to administer in-clinic and online neuropsychological assessment of memory and cognitive function. The CRC will also support the general BHR study by closely monitoring, cataloging and responding to participant feedback, working with the BHR Regulatory Specialist if reportable events occur and with the BHR Technical Team to troubleshoot issues The CRC will also assist other BHR staff, including Co-Investigators and CRCs, as needed.

Required Qualifications
- HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities,
- Demonstrated epidemiological or clinical research experience
- Strong knowledge and experience with word-processing and database software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Strong sense of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong prioritizing, planning and organizing skills
- Decision-making abilities
- Tolerance of high stress environment
- Adaptable to changing tasks, priorities and projects
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion in handling a variety of confidential material
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience
- Preference will be given to those with psychological training and experience
- Experience conducting, coordinating, or managing human subjects research
- Experience with the Brain Health Registry
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence or other project management software
- Demonstrated epidemiological or clinical research experience (minimum one year)
