Washington Township Medical Foundation (WTMF) is seeking a Communications Specialist. This is a full-time benefited position based in Fremont, CA.

Position Summary: The Communications Specialist creates, develops, releases and monitors web and social media content. This includes company website and social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Yelp, Google Business and Google Photos.

This self-starting individual will play a key role in ensuring the growth of WTMF’s digital presence. It requires ensuring the communities we serve receive timely and important information on the Foundation’s people, programs, and services. Information can range from service line descriptions, health tips, events, patient testimonials, awards, newsmakers and more. Along with the digital presence, the Communications Specialist support functions will also include: MyChart management, website management, and physician listing management.

The Communications Specialist is a member of the WTMF’s Marketing Department and collaborates frequently with other departments, outpatient clinics, physicians and WTMF stakeholders, and often in partnership with Washington Hospital Healthcare System. The position reports to the Sr. Manager of Marketing at Washington Township Medical Foundation

Education: Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.

Experience:

• 5 years or more experience required in digital content creation, preferably for a healthcare organization; or 5 years or more experience in communications with a strong understanding of digital content creation is required.
• Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Business, Yelp, and other social media channels; as well as web platform content creation and management and familiarity with basic web design and publishing
• Writing excellence is a must. Experience in writing quick, succinct, and accurate content in order to engage a consumer audience; writing samples will be required.
• Experience in utilizing digital platforms to educate, inform, and persuade consumers to take action.
• Solid photography, image creation and editing skills required.
• Excellence in oral communication and speaking skills.
