Overview:
Summary/Objective
The Customer Advocate, Data Furnishing I is responsible for monitoring compliance of data furnishing of servicing data to the credit reporting agencies, root causing non-conformances, and driving corrective action/remediation. Key tasks include: investigating, analyzing root cause and remediating accounts/tradelines as needed.

  • Ensure information ACA furnishes to Credit Reporting Agencies is accurate:
    • Identifies appropriately the consumer(s) to whom the information relates
    • Reflects the terms of, and liability for, the consumer’s account(s)
    • Reflects the consumer’s performance and other conduct with respect to the account(s)
    • Provides information with integrity that is substantiated by ACA’s records at the time the information is furnished
  • Performs investigation to determine root cause and accurate disposition.
  • Provides data to management to drive correction action.
  • Remediations accounts to tradelines/servicing system of record when appropriate.
  • Advocates for a positive customer experience while handling non-conformances in an urgent and positive manner.
  • Provides process improvement recommendations, as applicable.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Credit Reporting and/or Credit Disputes processes
  • Strong understanding of consumer credit report information
  • Strong understanding of the auto loan lifecycle in automotive financing
  • The ability to navigate ACA’s Loan Originating, Servicing System and Source documents to research inquiries is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain composure and multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Windows, SQL, Power Point and the Internet
  • Must be a self-motivator while actively participating in a team environment

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
