Director, Project Management Office

For over 60 years, SCI has been a leading provider of defense and aerospace electronics design and manufacturing services. We are currently recruiting highly qualified candidates, whose background and career goals meet our needs, for the following position in our Huntsville, AL facility. Please note that due to our Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

The primary functional oversight responsibilities are:

  • Manage the Project Managers and support staff
  • Institute and maintain appropriate project management processes
  • Work with the NBD teams to manage projections and anticipated projects
  • Maintain tight planning and collaboration with sales, and the manufacturing operations
  • Forecast anticipated resource needs
  • Participate in contract authoring and negotiations
  • Ensure the quality of all deliverables
  • Management of the customer and customer expectations
  • Scope / Change management
  • Manage project financials / profitability
  • Drive Customer Satisfaction
  • Ensure proper training of the Project Managers

The successful candidate will have significant experience managing the product realization process for products that include electronics content. The candidate must have experience in the end-to-end process of project planning, requirements management, risk management, documentation, and manufacturing. 10+ years experience in managing a PMO and team of project managers, ideally with PMP certification and bachelor's degree in a relevant course of study.
