Job Objective:

Responsible for Picking, Packing, and Processing all assigned Outbound customer orders. This position reports to the Ecommerce Supervisor and performance and is reviewed annually.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.
  • Responsible for correctly Identifying, Picking, Scanning, and properly packaging items for shipping via the most effective methods.
  • Able to understand and use the alphanumeric shelving layout to perform Picking functions correctly and accurately.
  • Correctly Identify and pick items from designated locations on orders.
  • Package orders as required based on whether item(s) are fragile, clothing, oversized, etc.
  • Process orders as required through the designated shipping program.
  • Responding to customers requesting in house pick up
  • Maintain knowledge of software used for processing items.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area. Including, but not limited to Outbound shipping area, personal workspace, and general housekeeping in assigned area.
  • Able to communicate with Supervisor/Production Assistant regarding E-Commerce needs.
  • When required, provide guidance and assistance to WDS staff for client training in e-commerce.
  • Must be able to follow established SOPs
  • Any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Production Assistant or other designated person(s).

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be well groomed and personable.
  • Ability to read, write, use a tape measure, and do simple math functions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Must be knowledgeable and competent in use of the internet and web research.
  • Must have good computer skills and the ability to learn a variety of computer software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Follow the dress code and wear designated identification as provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have good eyesight and hearing.
  • Must be able to work in a light industrial environment.
  • Must have good physical stamina and moderate mobility as well as the ability to lift, bend and work on feet for a minimum of (4) hours at a time.
  • Ability to move / lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Including, but not limited to pallets, boxes, totes, put away carts, and Z-Racks.
