The Town of Prosper is currently accepting applications for Executive Director of Development and Infrastructure Services.Under administrative direction of the Town Manager, directs, plans, and oversees the departments of Development Services (Building Inspections, Code Compliance, and Planning), Engineering and Public Works.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Possess excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, customer and public relations, personnel management and budgetary skills.Administers the effective and efficient planning, implementation, coordination and management of services provided to the citizens of Prosper by leading and directing the departments of Development Services (Building Inspections, Code Compliance, and Planning), Engineering, and Public Works.Responds to and resolves citizen inquiries and concerns; negotiates and resolves controversial issues; responds to Town Manager, Town Council and Town management team in a timely manner.Ensures processes, policies and procedures for the development community are maintained. Advises department heads in the preparation and implementation of new programs and coordinates preparations of various operating and administrative reports.Ensures that assigned area of responsibility are performed within budget; prepares cost control activities; monitors revenues and expenditures in assigned area to Ensure sound fiscal control; prepares annual budget requests; ensures the efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities and time.Attends regularly scheduled meetings,special meetings, and participates actively in discussion of matters coming before the Town Council, provides relevant information and recommends policies required in the public interest.Submits recommendations for revisions to codes and policies to the Town Manager.Perform such other duties as may be specified by the Town Council, Town Manager, Town Charter, or the laws of the State of Texas.May work extensive hours, as needed, to attend board, council and other related meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Engineering, Urban Development, Finance, or related field is required.Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible municipal experience with minimum of 5 years in a leadership/supervisory position. A Master's Degree in related field may be substituted for two years of related experience.Training: Must actively participate in professional associations in order to keep current in the changes of the law and practice of job responsibilities.Maintain a general knowledge of municipal laws, codes, policies and guidelines and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of laws, codes, policies and guidelines applicable to the job responsibilities.
