Job description

Metal Arc, a manufacturer of high-quality steel laboratory and office furniture located in Fruitport, MI, has an opening for a welder / press brake operator on its 2nd or 3rd shift. The main job functions include hand-welding cabinets, feeding parts into a robotic welder, welding sub-assemblies, stamping component parts, and forming those component parts. This could be either a part-time or a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Ability to hand-weld parts using MIG and/or TIG welders
• Ability to read and understand prints
• Ability to use calipers and tape measures
• Ability to load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies
• Minimum of one-year experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment

Candidates must be able to pass a welding and grinding/finishing test, along with a ruler test.
