Our team is seeking a Field Work Supervisor to provide support in the following areas:
- Directing field staff to ensure safe execution of work in a quality manner, within schedule and budget including all field related day to day activities.
- Supervising the well drilling and decommissioning work and alternate supervisor for the well maintenance group responsible for ensuring the wells remain operable during the life of the well.
- Coordinating lock and tag program for drilling/well maintenance.
- Managing and coordinating purge water delivery trucks.
- Implementing assigned program for personnel and contractors and maintains procedures to implement those programs.
- Implementing management, planning, and cost control systems consistent with the requirements of the contract and the company's policies as appropriate.
- Developing an understanding of all aspects of the drilling Request for Proposal (RFP) and subcontract including initial planning, review/evaluation, document submittals, change order negotiation and contract compliance.
- Reviewing subcontractor invoices and performance for approval/payment.
- Leading subcontractors kick off, progress and daily plan of the day meetings.
- Maintaining liaison with client representatives to ensure proper and timely involvement and maintains a professional and business-like client/company relationship.
- Controlling project cost and minimizes non-reimbursable costs as appropriate.
- Supervising assigned resources to accomplish project objectives and ensure quality services and products are rendered. Provides leadership and motivation directing the activities of a smaller diverse group within Soil &Groundwater Operations Project.
- Establishing and maintaining communications to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information in accordance with requirements. Review/comment on all subcontractor submittals and ensure other reviewers provide timely reviews.
- Advising management of developments that could affect project profit, schedule, costs, client relations, and interdepartmental or interdivisional relations.
- Staying alert to means and methods by which the operations, subcontractor and other activities may be improved and recommends revisions to the operating or subcontracting plan and detailed functioning of the task force when appropriate.
- Identifying and evaluating items that constitute an increase or decrease in schedule or costs and reviewing and initiating deviation notices and change orders as required.
- Understanding and complying with the expectations in their job specific performance plans.
- Demonstrating the ability to comprehend and resolve day-to-day problems.
- Demonstrating diplomacy and persuasiveness in working with others (subcontractors, subordinates, peers) to obtain desired results. Contacts are typically with subcontractor personnel, drilling operations management, non-management and support organizations.
- Maintaining operations proficiency.
- Keeping current on facility and technical changes.
- Providing operational information and guidance to support personnel.
Basic Qualifications
* US Citizen
- Manager Grade 18 - BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
- Manager Grade 19 - BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Fundamental knowledge of construction/drilling equipment, means and methods, Hanford Atomic Metal Trades Council, or similar labor organization, trade labor agreements and welding techniques
- Detail/operating knowledge of cable tool, becker hammer, air rotary drilling and general operating knowledge of other types of drilling equipment
- 15 years' in construction/drilling related projects and/or experience performing testing and sampling (aquifer, slug, soil and water) of resource protection wells.
- Experience welding, operating forklift and aerial lift
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Grade 18: $101,525 - $128,075
Grade 19: $111,588 - $140,663
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
