We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, HR Onboarding Specialist to join our team! You will be the face of the company for new hires and will champion a consistent and professional onboarding experience. You will help to cultivate a positive culture and promote inclusion and engagement at each phase of the onboarding process.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee the delivery of our onboarding program from pre-hire through the first 90 days. Your primary role is to welcome new hires and to execute the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey. You will manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a warm, welcoming new hire experience and a smooth transition into their new role. In addition, you will showcase our culture and provide an understanding of the organization’s strategic direction, goals, values and commitment to Platinum Service.

  • Contact new hires prior to arrival date and share important first day information
  • Arrange new hire welcome gift and communicate new hire start date to staff
  • Create 90 day orientation checklist to be reviewed with new hire.
  • Assign mentor
  • Welcome new employee upon their arrival, conduct office tour and introduce to team members/residents and mentor
  • Conduct or coordinate the delivery and completion of new hire paperwork and required training programs
  • Conduct or coordinate the delivery of new hire orientation
  • Review 90 day orientation checklist with new hire
  • Review benefits, policies, processes, employee engagement programs, and systems
  • Coordinate meet & greets with applicable team members and leaders
  • Arrange lunch with appropriate team members/leader
  • Assure new hire effectively adapts to the company culture, work schedule, necessary tools and systems, and specific work responsibilities
  • Assure compliance and regulatory requirements are met within required timeframes
  • Conduct regular employee check-ins for the first 90 days
  • Monitor Engage survey results and respond in timely, appropriate manner.
  • Work closely with Direct Manger, Hiring Manager and Regional Human Resource Director to assure smooth transition after day 90.
  • Manage GiGi Employee communication platform for specific location(s)
  • Update orientation program based on team feedback, retention rates, strategic initiatives and trends

What you bring to us

  • Proven work experience in a customer experience role, preferably as an HR Onboarding Specialist or relevant HR Role
  • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (ADP a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of labor legislation
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, upbeat attitude with a flair for connecting with people
  • Creative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
  • An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel to assigned Properties in your region
  • CNA experience preferred
