As HR Manager you will work to implement process and procedures that create an exceptional employee experience. You'll support our local Y management by performing HR tasks for our local YMCA's across the region. In this position, You will support functional HR areas across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy development and implementation, and compliance. On a regular day, you will partner with local leadership as part of a larger HR team concerning issues related to hiring and orientation (including interviews and employment offers), employee support (including engagement plans and celebrations) and progressive discipline processes. With over 1500 employees across 7 local Y's and multiple business areas, this is an exciting opportunity to learn and stretch your HR skills in a variety of areas and take on projects to support an amazing non-profit that is committed to community.

To thrive in this position you have experience working at a multi-site company partnering with multiple levels of senior leadership. You are an advocate for employees, have strong business acumen and the ability to embrace and support change. You are able to develop trust and credibility with business partners as part of the collaborative nature of the position. The successful candidate has expertise in HR policies and procedures, and a solid understanding of HR best practices. You have sound judgement, problem-solving skills and a high level of professionalism and discretion.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline and 2+ years of relevant HR experience
  • A clear commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple time sensitive priorities
  • Ability to successfully navigate a highly matrixed environment
  • SHRM/PHR certification preferred
