The IT Systems Analyst will provide technical support and advice to the company’s users in addition to maintaining and enhancing the IT systems within the company. Specifically, the IT Support Analyst will assist in maintaining, developing, and deploying the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, Aptean Metals.

Key Accountabilities

• Supports an efficient data processing operation by monitoring and maintaining efficiency of the Aptean Metals ERP system in accordance with evolving company needs and technological improvements.
• Works with all departments within the company to enhance data capture and reporting capabilities within Aptean Metals.
• Plans and executes environmental support including patches, program temporary fixes and cumulative updates from the vendors.
• Delivers robust applications in conjunction with a variety of application modules, unit tests, and actively participates in integration and user acceptance testing.
• Supports the Aptean Metals system. This position will act as the frontline help desks when issues arise, or errors are located that need additional assistance to resolve.
• Identifies and assists with troubleshooting issues with other software and hardware, when necessary.
• Responsible for general reporting and interpreting data with BI tool, Qlik. Develops Qlik apps for end users based on requirements using BI tool Qlik Sense.
• Develops Technical Design Documents using existing templates and methodology for robust software providing new or enhanced functions.
• Works with end users to solve ERP issues using our ticketing system.
• Database management includes monitoring Openedge DB extent sizes, indexes, and backups. This includes adding extents, dump and loads, and database upgrades when needed.
• Supports end users with Aptean Metals. Aptean Metals modules include actual costing, order entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory applications.
• Other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences, Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, Computer Engineering Technologies, or related field required.
• Three to five years of experience in an IT support role required.
• Experience in Open Edge 11 or 12 and/or Visual C#.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines.
• Exposure or previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills.
