Under the general direction of the Chief Information Officer, the ITS Business Analyst, collaborates with business and technical staff to understand, document, and find technical solutions to organizational and operational challenges. The ITS Business Analyst assesses the information technology systems and makes suggestions for how these technologies can improve the Authority’s performance and help achieve the Authority’s goals. In this role, the ITS Business Analyst develops parameters for successful IT systems, oversees their operations, and provides consultations on what kind of features or modifications would best serve the Authority. Key to their success is the ability to connect IT staff with business users, classify stakeholders’ business goals into specific deliverables, and then oversee their technical implementation. Afterwards, analyze available data and predict what changes in the infrastructure and business processes will be required as the business grows. All of the above shall be accomplished in accordance with the Authority’s goals and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement new information technology systems from start to finish, which will address technical and business challenges.
• Collect, review, understand, and present data to assist leadership in making decisions.
• Enhance the quality of information technology products and services, analyze data to inform business decisions, and find technological solutions to business and technical challenges.
• Create use cases, test plans, and implementation plans.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes.
• Partner with business and technical personnel to design innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with application delivery and training teams to implement solutions.
• Lead, facilitate, and guide meetings and workshops to document and solidify viable solutions.
• Assist technical leads in performing hands-on solution design, solution architecture, architecture roadmaps, and prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development tasks, as required in support of current and new projects.
• Ensure solution is scalable and meets overall current and future business requirements.
• Improve the delivery speed of information technology products and services.
• Ensure projects hit milestones on time and escalate to proper stakeholders as needed.

• Solid understanding of project management methodology, including the ability to troubleshoot project roadblocks and proactively seeks solutions to meet deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or other related areas.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Must have five (5) years of experience as a business analyst.
• Excellent Jira/Agile/Scrum experience.
• Excellent Microsoft Visio and Project experience and ability to create high level and detailed flow designs.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities, independently, as well as, part of a team.
• Ability to work with diverse teams.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Valid New Jersey driving license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
