Role Overview

The Credit Manager position is responsible for establishing and evaluating customer credit limits, maintaining customer master and related credit files, and controlling account balances and customer collections across our Texas and Florida operations. Additionally, they will be responsible for management reporting over receivable balances, aging, and collection efforts.

Role Context:

This role reports to the Farming Controller and is responsible for the direct supervision of our Accounts Receivable department for Turfgrass operations in both Texas and Florida. The role encompasses all phases of accounts receivable activity, reporting, and customer account maintenance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Investigate, analyze, and evaluate credit risk of existing and potential customers
• Maintain customer master and related credit files
• Assist with periodic training of location personnel in both customer management and timely collection of account balances
• Evaluate and enforce established credit policies and procedures across our locations
• Support AR transactional activity in both our Texas and Florida accounts receivable departments
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for all locations/accounts
• Prepare and communicate reporting for Upper Management related to outstanding receivables, aging balances, and status of collections
• Review monthly customer statements
• Analyze and approve credits to be processed on accounts, ensuring appropriate documentation has been captured and retained
• Work with collection agency/attorney as needed to collect on accounts
• Prepare appropriate collection letters as needed on customer accounts
• Responsibilities are not limited to the above, but will include various tasks and analytical functions as may be needed on a daily, monthly, or ad-hoc basis

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for the oversight of the accounts receivable function for King Ranch Turfgrass in both Texas and Florida

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in state and federal related collection laws and regulations

Education and Experience:

• Business related degree and/or verifiable experience in credit and collections.
• Strong spreadsheet design and data manipulation experience.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards considered an asset, although not required

• Must be willing to take on a variety of assignments as assigned by management on an as-needed basis within the department and within other areas of King Ranch if necessary.
