ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead and supervise Innovation Lab Technicians, including hiring and staffing, work schedules, managing workload balance, establishing timelines, and conduct program management for LTRs
- Maintain up to date LTR Log and workload tracking matrix
- Serve as a customer facing spokesperson during customer tours of our Innovation Lab
- Manage up-time utilization of lab resources
- Establish test timing and queue of priority for lab test requests
- Install and set-up of new lab equipment, as well as manage programs for machine maintenance and calibration
- Provide input for long range planning for the lab, including equipment needs, identification of resource bottlenecks, and budget planning
- Mentor staff in establishing benchmark standard procedures, best practices for machine operation, test methods, measurement techniques, report writing, supplier relations, and procurement practices
- Propose appropriate test methods as part of a verification plan based on product validation goals
- Oversee and lead high profile projects and reports
- Manage inventory, traceability and coordination of lab materials resupply program
- Manage 5S and HSE initiatives for the Lab
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Years of Experience:
- 5+ years in a lab environment, preferably in the Glass or Ceramics industry
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license required for business travel
- Strong project management skill set to lead programs
- Experience in a Glass design or manufacturing environment preferred

- Adept at summarizing data and revealing key trends
- Demonstrated creative mind-set and solution finder
- Detail oriented, able to maintain test logs/results/data
- Ability and willingness to lead using the Servant Leadership model

Education
Preferred
Bachelors or better in Engineering.
Experience

3 years: Supervisory experience
