Alexandra's American Fusion at Turf Valley Resort is seeking passionate Line Cooks to join our Culinary Team.

Our Line Cooks are tasked with preparing and cooking our seasonably inspired menu, finely crafted for our Resort's guests and dining patrons. You will be responsible for following our recipes, portion control guidelines and quality identifiers without flaw, all while championing food safety and creating Insta-worthy plates.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Set up station according to restaurant guidelines.
  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Gain a working knowledge and proficiency at all three stations (Cold, Broiler/Grill and Sauté).
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
  • Restock all items as needed throughout shift.
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
  • Have an understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
  • Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef at any time.

  • Minimum 1 year of prior cooking experience, fine dining experience preferred.
  • Have an understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency at all three stations (cold food production, Boiler/Grill production, and Sauté production).
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • ServSafe certification a plus.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Commitment to quality service.
  • Must be able to be on feet for 8-hour shifts.
  • Team player, Strong communication skills, Problem solving, Self-motivated, Organized.
