Inside the Role
Designs, develops, and implements new or revised processes for assembling the component parts and subassemblies required for a finished product. Designs the sequence of assembly operations and the arrangement of equipment for automatic parts selection, fastening (e.g., riveting, welding, screwdriving, applying adhesives, etc.), labeling, sorting, and packaging. Performs quality inspections and functional tests on assembled goods. Oversees the installation, operation, and maintenance of assembly equipment. Monitors the rate of assembly and finished goods inventory to identify and resolve issues impacting achievement of cost, quality, or production targets.

Position offers a starting salary range of $82,000.00 - $104,500.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA :
  • Designs, develops, and implements new or revised processes for assembling the component parts and subassemblies required for a finished product.
  • Designs the sequence of assembly operations and the arrangement of equipment for automatic parts selection, fastening (e.g., riveting, welding, screw driving, applying adhesives, etc.), labeling, sorting, and packaging.
  • Performs quality inspections and functional tests on assembled goods.
  • Oversees the installation, operation, and maintenance of assembly equipment.
  • Monitors the rate of assembly and finished goods inventory to identify and resolve issues impacting achievement of cost, quality, or production targets.

Knowledge You Should Bring:
  • Requires a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 2-4 years of relevant experience or 6 years experience in lieu of degree.
  • Team oriented professional with strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Project management experience required.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals (5s, CI, process mapping, Kaizen, PDCA, visual management)
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office software;
  • Travel within the US and Mexico (25% on Average)

Exceptional Candidates Might Have:
  • Knowledge of NX, AutoCAD and /or SolidWorks is preferred
  • Knowledge and application of basic mechanical, electrical and industrial engineering principles preferred
