Job Title: Material Handler

Schedule: Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat

POSITION SUMMARY: Material Handler position is responsible for identifying, verifying and staging materials for Manufacturing production and performing SAP and MES transactions.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
• Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
• Assures Good Manufacturing Practices, Housekeeping, Safety and Environmental guidelines are being followed.
• Train new Material Handlers on proper movement and transactions through SAP and MES.
• Certified to train Material Handlers on how to operate Manual & Electric Pallet Jack and to perform the “Operator’s Daily Checklist”.
• Perform cycle counts and restock according to procedures.
• Ability to make critical decisions when needed.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

• Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Experience in clean room assembly or Manufacturing in the medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and skills:

• Understands Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
• Must be a team player and able to demonstrate willingness and ability to provide assistance to co-workers.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, managers and leads. Able to understand instructions written and spoken in English.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Ability to solve basic math problems.

Physical requirements/abilities:

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours.
• Work may involve repetitive motions such as bending, lifting twisting, pulling and pushing.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Working knowledge of SAP and MES.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift

Experience:

• SAP: 2 years (Required)
• Cycle Counting: 2 years (Required)
