Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Medical Assistant, you will assist and support providers and staff members by providing quality patient care. You will admit patients to the clinical area, collect patient information, assist with treatments, procedures, and examinations, and refer patients to specialists or ancillary care.

• You will assist with patient care
• You will perform laboratory testing
• You will ensure the quality of laboratory services
• You will perform testing for physical exam protocols
• You will maintain patient medical records
• You will maintain the clinical area
• You will promote customer relations

Job Qualifications

Experience

• 6 months of experience in a medical setting

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in applicable medical field – preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the state of Texas – preferred

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
