DESCRIPTION
Decypher is seeking Medical Office Clerk candidates to support NAS Oak Harbor Naval Hospital.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- schedule approximately 5600 patient appointments; cancel approximately 100 appointments and reschedule approximately 300 appointments per month.
- make, answer, and route approximately 70 telephone calls per day using appropriate telephone etiquette.
- verify third party insurance information for approximately 5600 patients per month and make updates to the patient’s EMR according to MTF SOP if insurance information has changed.
- prepare approximately 300 next day patient appointment records for Pediatrics per month.
- verify patient eligibility in DEERS for approximately 5600 patients per month prior to booking patient appointments.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Possess two (2) years of experience working in a healthcare setting
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- US Citizen
- NACI background check
