As a Payroll Specialist, you must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and to manage multiple deadlines. It is also important that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highlighted Duties
· Set up new states and localities to comply with taxing requirements
· Research and analyze wage and tax details for reporting
·Research system or tax errors and make corrections for errors
·Troubleshoot and assist in resolution of tax filing issues
·Research tax notices and verify correct reporting and errors. Validate tax due or owed with certainty
·Research tax laws, regulations and best practices
·Perform quality audits on tax system configuration as needed
·Develop and implement system processes and settings as needed
·Validate the setup of employee profiles
·Process accurate and timely quarterly/year end payroll tax reporting and W-2s
· Assist with month- and quarter-end close procedures and audits
·Reconcile benefits billing and payroll transmission and validate confirmed reports
·Create and submit the annual 401K Census data
·Work with 401K auditor and provide all needed documents and calculations for audit
·Prepare working file for Workers Comp audits and all required backup data to finalize audit. Reconcile calculated liability to general ledger accounts and make adjustments.

·Protect all employee information with strict confidentiality
·Other duties as required
Job Requirements
- 3 Years payroll tax experience Required
- Kronos UKG WorkForce Ready experience preferred
- Must have intermediate experience with Excel
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job is performed in our corporate headquarters. This position is part-time as of now. There is potential for growth in this role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
