We are urgently looking to hire an outstanding, personable, team- and service-oriented full-time Phlebotomist to work at various clinics in the Northern and Northwestern suburbs of Chicago. Our lab vendor is set up to pick up and process the specimens for our Functional Medicine patients, we just need a great Phlebotomist to help us!

Schedule:

The full-time schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00am-2:00pm. The candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to multiple suburban locations.

Job Responsibilities:

To collect blood specimens from patients in our clinics in a manner that is technically appropriate, cost effective and patient focused, according to approved departmental policies and procedures. We are looking to make our patient experience simple and convenient utilizing gentle and efficient venipuncture skills.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Completed an accredited phlebotomy training program or equivalent program or at least 6 months hospital phlebotomy experience that qualifies individual to take the phlebotomy certification exam;
• Strong interpersonal skills and service orientation, courteous and professional;
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing;
• Good organizational skills;
• CRT/Computer familiarity;
• Qualified to take phlebotomy certification exam / certification will be required within 1 year of hire PBT (ASCP)/NPA/ACA/NHA/NCA/AMT/NCCT NCMA certification also accepted;
• Endurance for long periods of standing, bending, and walking; and
• Exposure to contagious diseases, potentially biohazardous specimens and materials.
