Aculabs, an industry leader servicing long-term care homes across the Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a part-time position. We are proudly family-owned and operated since 1972! The optimal candidate would seek the benefit of starting early and getting home before most are out of their bed! Your phlebotomy skills will ultimately depict your working hours. This is a great opportunity for a parent with children in school or a retired phlebotomist who does not want to work an 8-hour shift.

AVAILABLE SCHEDULE:

• M-F 5:00am - Completion of LTAC facility (Approximately 20-30 draws per day - an experienced tech can get this done before 9AM and enjoy the rest of their day!)
• Drop specimens at designated location
• Self-determined end time.

*minimum of 3+ year of experience required for this position.

Responsibilities:
-Performs venipuncture in response to an order by a medical professional.
-Ensures optimal quality of specimen is obtained for the ordered test.
-Provides patients with the highest level of care.
-Ensures order updates are performed timely through the phone app.
-Document required information of a venipuncture on the order form.
-Adheres to assigned schedule and completes work in an efficient manner.
-Maintain a clean supply kit with an adequate amount of supplies at all times.
-Follows all Infection Control practices including the use of personal protective equipment.
-Use of personal vehicle to drive to and from assignments and drop off at designated site(s).
-Advise patient on Patient confidentiality.

Pay for Performance incentives are offered at random throughout the year.

Qualifications:

• 3 year of hands-on experience or Completion/Certification of a Phlebotomy course

COVID-19 considerations: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all facilities that we service. All employees must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza. The booster is required.
