Exclusive Private Concierge Physical Therapy Practice with discreet clientele seeks a motivated, energetic and very experienced Physical Therapist Assistant with great hands on skills to join our unique practice.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Physical Therapist Assistant and/or Certified personal trainer administers the Physical Therapy Service under the direction of the physical therapist for clients following current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure the highest degree of quality care at all times. He or she helps restore clients to their previous state of physical fitness after surgery, illness, or accident.

The ideal candidate for this position has a degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy Assistant program, a license to practice Physical Therapy in this state, and at least five years of experience in an outpatient setting. The Certified Personal Trainer has a certification from ACE, ACSM, NASM and has effective oral and written skills, time management skills, professional dress, team player approach and positive attitude are required for this position. The position is in an atmosphere that enhances profressional development and lifelong learning with a research guided approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows an evidenced based treatment and exercise plan in consultation with the physician and physical therapist and may revise or make suggestions with the approval of the PT or physician as necessary.
Treats clients to relieve pain, through manual skills and uses evidenced based modalities to develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance, using therapeutic means.
Teaches, supervises and counsels the patient in the physical therapy program. Provides the equipment required to carry out the plan.
Records daily all data, treatments, and patient's response to therapy intervention.
Instructs Rehab technicians in certain phases of physical therapy that may be used while working with the patient.
Participates in physical therapy staff meetings and in-services weekly.
Participates with staff, patients and physicians in discharge planning activities and completes a Physical Therapy Discharge Summary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Certified Personal Trainer
Experience in current trends of exercise description
At least five years relevant experience required

Manual skills experience and Advanced certifications preferred
