The Early Childhood Education Division is looking for a motivated Preschool Teacher Assistant to assist with planning and implementing program goals and activities for preschool age children by creating a safe and nurturing environment. The Teacher Assistant works under the director of the classroom teacher/lead teacher to assist children in daily living activities. High School diploma or GED and EEC REQUIRED. Valid driver’s license required, as well as a qualifying criminal background check, and motor vehicle record.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform daily living activities such as feeding, diapering, and washing.

2. Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe environment.

3. Participate in planning child activities including preparing materials, equipment and food.

4. Maintain pertinent records such as daily charts as assigned.

5. Maintain knowledge in field through appropriate educational activities.

6. Perform support duties as requested by the teacher.

7. Access and read Agency email account and Intranet at least weekly.
