Based on full time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on first paycheck, 50% on paycheck following 6-month anniversary.

About the team.
This position will reside with Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
About the role.
Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents, including medication evaluations, follow-up appointments, and training psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, medical students, and nurses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct medical and psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients assigned, on a regular basis as within the scope of State care.
- Assure clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision, as necessary.
- Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate and triage according to level of acuity, as needed.
- Share 24-hour on call responsibilities with other psychiatrists for residential, outpatient and emergency care, as assigned.
- Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients, as appropriate.
- Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care to ensure appropriate medical/psychiatric services are received, as needed.
- Attend team and other meetings, as necessary.
- Provide consultation with other physicians and staff on patient care and difficult cases, as needed.
- Attend continuing medical education conferences to maintain excellent standards of care, on a regular basis.
- Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies.
- Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
- Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
- Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
- Accurately and completely document patient care.
- Staff member will monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the clients care team.

Education:
- Doctor of Medicine /Osteopathy.
- Residency in psychiatry (DO/MDs only.)
Experience:
Preferred: three years' of relevant clinical work experience.
Certification, Licensure:
- State of Colorado Medical License or Valid Prescriptive Authority in good standing.
- Valid and Current DEA.
- Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in psychiatry (DO/MDs only).
- Preferred: DEA-X
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Assess, treat, and diagnose psychiatric and medical illnesses
- Current knowledge of pharmacology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record.
- Remain up to date with current treatment modalities and research
Required Vaccinations.
- Aurora Mental Health Center (AuMHC) has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as well as receive an annual influenza (flu) shot prior to their first day of hire. Proof of both of these vaccinations will be required upon your first day of employment.
- Medical and religious exemptions may be requested for either COVID 19 vaccine or annual flu shot.
Salary for this role.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience and company equity.
- $220,704.00 - $300,960.00 / Annually (Final determination is based of years of qualified experience)
Additional Compensation Opportunities.
- Language Differential Pay (For Bilingual Candidates): 5% of base salary up to $3,000/year
