Punch Press Machine Operator

Shift hours: Monday -Friday 7am-4:30pm with some OT

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Job Description:

Perform production work related to producing gaskets. You will be responsible for operating a punch press machine to punch out gaskets. There are also times you will be needed in the hose shop testing hoses, painting and buffing. Previous standard forklift experience, and pallet jack is a plus.

• Willing to learn how to operate machinery to fabricate standard and custom gaskets using tools and dies.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

 Pick and ship orders, transfers, attend to will call customers, schedule LTL shipments and

confirm pick tickets.

 Receive purchase orders and verify the items against the PO and packing list checking for

accuracy of the parts and quantities.

 Package and store items in an orderly and accessible manner within the warehouse, tool

and stock areas.

 Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and

investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

 Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

 Examine and inspect stock items and materials for wear and or defects. Report any

damage to supervisor(s).

 Fabricate standard and custom gaskets using the traveling head presses, ATOM Flash

Cutter, power shears and or pneumatic scissors.

 Mark items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling

equipment.

 Clean and maintain warehouse, work/production areas, equipment, tools, supplies and

stock / storage locations to ensure compliance with safety regulations daily.

 Develop and maintain storage and organizational areas for hand/power tools, supplies and

materials throughout the warehouse.

 Ensure the safety and security of the warehouse by locking the dock doors at the end of

business hours daily.

Goals and Skill Development:

 Continue to learn and gain experience and proficiency with shipping and receiving

related functions.

 Increase familiarity with materials and product lines.

 Accurately process production orders in P21 relative to actual material usage.

 Learn to assemble banded hose assemblies using the Band-It Machine and crimped hose

assemblies using the Crimp Machine.

 Clean-up production areas as required daily.

 Maintain a clean and orderly work area daily.

 Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within a reasonable time frame.
