Job description
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Six years related experience or training in warehousing or purchasing; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsible for maintaining, analyzing, coordinating and managing inventory materials and supplies.
1. Monitors and recommends stock levels for each warehouse item.
2. Maintains established warehouse stock levels using North East Independent School District (NEISD) bids or quotes, state contracts, Region XX Cooperative bids or interlocal agreements.
3. Evaluates bid items for NEISD and Region XX bids.
4. Identifies and selects appropriate cost-effective purchasing options and coordinates all activities relative to the purchasing process.
5. Initiates, researches and originates bids and quotes for the Warehouse.
6. Inspects and verifies accuracy of the Warehouse inventory levels as compared to computer generated reports.
7. Identifies new items to be stocked or obsolete items to be deleted from inventory.
8. Responsible for data entry in the Lawson Inventory System.
9. Verifies Warehouse inventory numbers through periodic cycle counts and annual inventory.
10. Prepares and balances various reports including total Warehouse balance to the General Ledger.
11. Responsible for receiving and processing warehouse purchasing requisitions.
12. Processes Operations Warehouse, Maintenance and Transportation purchase orders (OWS only).
13. Assists CRMS Manager with various property management duties including data entry, printing of transfer labels and property pick up sheets, and reconciling disposal records.
14. Assists CRMS Coordinator in recording lot items for live and online auctions.
15. Assists Textbook Coordinator with various purchasing and inventory responsibilities for instructional materials.
16. Tracks performance measure items.
17. Maintains confidentiality of all information.
18. Reports to work on time every day.
19. Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful completion of applicable skills testing through the Department of Human Resources
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak and communicate effectively with groups of customers and employees
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Must be able to proficiently use a computer and peripherals
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with a driving record that meets the requirements of the District
