JOB DESCRIPTION

Room Service Server is responsible for providing fast-track service in their timely delivery of food and beverages to hotel guests. The Room Service Server will display a welcoming and helpful demeanor, attending immediately to guest concerns, showcasing menu offerings to their best advantage, and conveying professionalism for the brand. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide excellent guest service by responding to calls quickly and courteously
• Answer room service phone and take orders; transmit orders to cook
• Answer guest questions and respond to guest requests
• Deliver prepared food and beverages to guest rooms
• Pick up To Go Bags on regularly scheduled walks
• Thank guests for their visit and welcome them to return to the hotel
• Participate and engage in training to stay informed and refreshed on processes and proper use of equipment available
• Other duties as assigned to include but not limited to food runner, bar back, etc.

• High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a server role or similar industry strongly preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts longer than 8 hours. Must be able to communicate clearly.

This position requires physical stamina. To fully perform his/her duties, Room Service Servers will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, bend, push, and pull. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time throughout property. Must be able to lift and/or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. Must have open availability including weekends & holidays.
