Job Description
This is a contract position and follows typical school calendars, days and hours. The start-date for this position is 8/15/2022.
The primary role of the School Counselor (SC) is to help students engage in social/emotional groups and assessments designed to elicit educational and personal growth. The SC is also responsible for educating school staff through individual consultation, observation assessments and/or group training. As representatives of Mount Prospect Academy, SCs serve as liaisons for assisting families with locating community counseling if needed.

Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in human services or a related field, including direct experience working with children and families.
- Position requires satisfactory completion of background and other record(s) checks.
