Position Description
TherapyNotes is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team of cloud-first technology enthusiasts. The right candidate has an acute attention to detail and an inquisitive mind to challenge the status quo.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience managing Microsoft desktop and server environments
- Microsoft Certified: Azure – Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE certifications or equivalent experience
- Expert in hybrid and cloud-based compute, storage, and containerization solutions (Azure & Docker preferred)
- Expert in Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Microsoft365, Azure AD/AADDS, Active Directory Domain Services, Windows 10, Windows Server 2019+, DHCP, DNS
- Expert in programming languages (e.g., SQL, PowerShell)
- Expert in Linux server systems administration such as RedHat, CentOS, and Debian
- Expert in traditional and PaaS web application technologies such as Azure Web Apps, IIS, application load balancing
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies, and variable workload (container) orchestration
- Proficiency with the Agile methodology, DevOps, Scrum, ITSM and/or ITIL principles
- Ability to manage diverse activities simultaneously, delivering on commitments and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment
- Ability to operate independently as well as influence across the technology organization
- Strong project management skills and detail-oriented
Responsibilities
- Provides 2nd and 3rd level support for all network, server, domain, and IaaS/PaaS cloud services in a Microsoft-centric environment containing a healthy dose of Linux workloads
- Provides 3rd level support for the desktop environment
- Designs, build, and maintains infrastructure solutions to meet the company's needs
- Ensures all infrastructure solutions and operational activities adhere to the security and operating policies established by the organization
- Performs recurring IT operational tasks to ensure the environment remains in good health
- Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery or the health of the environment through process improvement and/or continual development of documentation and runbooks
- Provides on-call coverage for production support and other duties as required
