Who We Need:

Ensures the quality of Octane meets the expectations of its customers by testing new features and improvements completed by the Mortgage Technology development team. Works alongside the manual Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts to identify and design automated tests to be run regularly.

What You Will Do:

• Creates initial test designs, writes scripts, installs automation testing protocols, and reports the results
• Utilizes knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques to develop and maintain automated testing scripts
• Identifies software application weaknesses and target areas
• Reviews and analyzes software bug reports and highlights problem areas to help identify solutions.
• Configures and manages automated test builds
• Conducts code reviews for QA members
• Educates and assists manual QA analysts with their automation efforts
• Responsible for setup and configuration of test environments
• Collaborates with other members of the engineering team to find the best methods for solving problems in systems
• Stays up-to-date with new testing tools, tests strategies, and improves efficiency
• Assist is defining the testing methodologies and quality control standards
• Troubleshoots defects and manages defect tracking and resolution processes
• Maintains well organized records of test results
• Utilizes the company task tracking system (Asana) for all work
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Extended and weekend work hours may be required

What You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline
• 3+ Experience writing and maintaining automation testing scripts
• Prior experience working with Selenium WebDriver
• Experience working in an agile development work environment
• Understanding of the software development life cycle
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
• Programming skills including automation systems and databases.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good project management skills.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from sixty-five thousand dollars to ninety-one thousand dollars, determined based on the applicant's experience, skillset, education, training, certificates, and licenses.
