We are looking for a staff accountant to join our corporate finance team. We are a private-equity-owned outpatient behavioral health provider that is growing rapidly through acquisitions, de novos, and organic growth strategy. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, comprehensive mental health services to the communities we serve. About the Role:

• The Staff Accountant provides support to the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting and Finance Department
• Daily cash reporting and posting
• Creating and posting journal entries
• Preparation and maintenance of various schedules including fixed asset schedules, depreciation schedules, amortization schedules, prepaid schedules, lease schedules, and straight-line rent schedules
• Code and process account payable invoices
• Performs check runs as necessary
• Assists in the Accounts Receivable process to ensure charges are posted timely and contractual rates are accurate
• Assist with the month-end close process
• Bank Reconciliations
• Balance Sheet General Ledger Reconciliations
• Preparation and dissemination of weekly dashboards and reports to the Management team
• Assist in the implementation of business process improvements
• Other duties as assigned, including budgeting, financial analysis, acquisition preparation, and critical stakeholder communication (including the Management team, clinical and operational leadership, and financial sponsors)

• Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Must have excellent work habits, strong work ethic, and ability to balance workload with competing priorities
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of US GAAP required
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
• Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to the next level
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames
• Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes
• Team player that develops strong collaborative working relationships with internal partners and can effectively engage and ability to build consensus among cross-functional teams
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• 1 - 3 years of progressively responsible experience in industry or at an accounting firm is preferable but will also consider recent graduates with a strong academic performance from a reputable college or university
• Healthcare provider experience is preferable
