The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Time and Attendance Specialist for a critical position within the payroll function located in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is a high volume, fast paced, team oriented, metric driven environment focused on individual and team performance and continuous improvement.
Members of this team coordinate with a multitude of business units to ensure employee time is accurately processed within stringent timelines for weekly and biweekly pay cycles.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for collecting time data, auditing the data for accuracy, and formatting the information for delivery to our payroll software. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reporting – prepare information for senior leaders of the team, cross functional finance groups and internal clients to support payroll accuracy.
- Customer Service – Respond to employee, manager, and HR business partner queries regarding paycheck accuracy.
- Payroll Initiatives – Work with cross functional teams to plan, coordinate and execute various initiatives throughout the year.
- Quality Assurance – support internal audits during the pay process as well as external audits initiated by other business units and government agencies.
- Paycheck Deductions – coordinate with internal business partners around several voluntary deduction programs to ensure additions, changes and deletions are processed timely and the information is reported accurately.
- Members of this team have a responsibility to protect sensitive employee data. They also have an opportunity to interact with all business units and learn how they conduct their business and motivate employees to succeed.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience and ability to provide exceptional customer service in a corporate environment
- Curious nature and the ability to investigate, diagnose and resolve complex customer issues
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment under tight deadlines
- Able to multi-task, prioritize and work independently as well as collaborate with teammates for effective workload management and to fulfill customer requirements
- Uses various software packages to prepare and review documents and records
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Position will require remote work and applicable internet connectivity
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency with PeopleSoft, SAP, HR tools, ADP Payroll systems and/or other Finance systems
- Knowledge of general Finance and Human Resource concepts, practices, and procedures
Education:
- This role typically requires an AS/AA (or other post high school training/certificate) and 6 years of applicable experience. In rare cases in lieu of a degree a combination or relevant experience, certifications and education may be considered.
US Citizenship:
- This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
