Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift and/or pallet jacks during routine performance of duties
  • Perform daily inspection of material handling equipment (I.e., pallet jack, forklift) and notifies supervisor when major service is required
  • Promotes safety and conducts themselves in accordance with all safety work rules at all times
  • Trains, motivates, and monitors performance of warehousing employees. Recognize good performance and take corrective action when needed.
  • Communicates with Warehouse Supervisor/Manager and Operations team to plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and picking/loading sequences to meet warehouse goals.
  • Inform team members of expectations for work scope, company rules and regulations, and to take disciplinary action when behavioral or performance expectations are not met
  • Utilizes all foods safety guidelines, including BRC, Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
  • Report food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Receives, inspects, and stages raw materials, scrap, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies into the designated areas
  • Recommends measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department, work crew, and equipment performance
  • Ensure the quality of inbound and outbound shipments to guarantee accuracy and free of damage. Report any variances to appropriate supervisor.
  • Removes finished products from the production areas ensuring proper identification, banding, and labeling to meet customer specifications
  • Stages and loads finished goods and materials in accordance with warehouse and production schedule
  • Ensures finished goods are properly documented
  • Responsible for replenishing supplies in a timely manner
  • Load trucks as necessary
  • Efficiently stack and store product in appropriate areas.
  • Troubleshoot problems to resolution and communication effectively
  • Resolve changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages, or deviations from specifications, escalating issues to the shift supervisors, maintenance, or other operators as necessary
  • Assist in physical inventory counts
  • Ensures overall quality through accurate inventory transactions and material movement
  • Must keep a professional and positive demeanor with all Eagle Foods Team Members and Customers
  • Leader facilitates the successful workflow of the shift and cascades direction from the Warehouse and collaborates with shift supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year working experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Requires computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Infor is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite in addition to knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated Team building experience
  • Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills
  • Experience with Food Safety Audit expectations and requirements preferred
  • Strong communications skills
  • Must be flexible with work scheduling as well as overtime
  • Must be able to lift to 40 lbs
