Job Brief: Responsible for the account management and success of a major business portfolio. Maintains a deep technical knowledge of products from a features and benefits point of view.

Summary:

Responsible for the account management and success of a major business portfolio. Maintains a deep technical knowledge of products from a features and benefits point of view.

Responsibilities:

50%: Maintains support to existing account porfolios or programs. Develops accurate sales quotes on equipment and systems recommended and follows-up on same.

20%: Adequately grows market share within assigned portfolio/program with products and services outside their contractual obligations. Ensures that all contractual obligations are being adhered to by program partners.

10%: Maintains merchant relations. Analyzes customer operations and makes recommendations on appropriate equipment and systems needed to enhance operations; maintains customer relations by advising customers on equipment, layouts and regulations. Consults with vendors and performs research in order to quote the best products and prices to the customers.

5%: Assists in the development of new partners. Analyzes geographies and prospects in the area to ensure we have appropriate coverage. Assures that new partners align with the strategy of existing resources. Works with the VP of Sales to ensure that technical sales training is effective and as up to date as possible. Creates presentations and quiz questions for petroleum products.

5%: Maintains expertise on current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, or reading trade journals. Attends vendor-training sessions to maintain knowledge of new products and developments in the industry. Attends trade shows.

10%: Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field or equivalent education and experience.

Experience: 5+ years experience in business development or BTB development

Licenses/Certifications: None

Technical Abilities: Knowledge of job costing and project estimating principles and practices as would be acquired through three to five years of related construction experience in a similar industry. Knowledge of the use and operation of petroleum tanks and products.

Autonomy/Direction: High degree of leadership, integrity, decision-making, judgment, complex problem solving, critical thinking, management of personnel resources, social perceptiveness, management of financial resources, negotiation, persuasion, systems evaluation, time management, management of material resources, operations analysis abilities is required. Indirectly directs multiple supervisors and professionals.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Working Hazards: Works in a seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Physical/Mental Exertion: Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis, performing such activities as fingering, grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, and repetitive tasks. Continuous attention to numerical detail. Normal office environment.
  • Tools and Equipment: Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate computer and general office equipment. Works with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.Highly computer literate and uses effective sales database tracking programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,300.00 - $103,300.00 per year
