Job description
We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for busy dental practices in our FQHC Community Clinics. The Dental Assistant will assist the Dentist(s) and Dental Hygienist(s) in the direct delivery dental services to patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant
- X-ray certification
Skills and Abilities
- Must have one year of experience as a certified dental assistant
- Provide support to Dentist, Hygienist and other staff as needed
- Must have excellent written, verbal and customer-service skills
- Assist in updating and maintaining patient’s dental record
- Ability to provide patient education using verbal and written information
- Treatment Room Management and Sterilization
- Strong knowledge in Electronic Health Records.
- Help in other areas of the office when necessary, i.e., answering phones, scheduling appointments, unpacking supplies and managing inventory, completing insurance forms, etc.
- Perform expanded functions (based on certification) and other tasks as assigned
EDDA certification and Bilingual a plus!
