Job Summary

Verigreen Inc., is seeking a responsible, energetic, and outgoing Direct Support Professional in the District Heights, MD area, Mon-Fri from 9am-3pm, to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities live interesting, productive lives by offering assistance and support with daily living skills including personal hygiene, building independence, social skills, and community inclusion. APPLICANT MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED (HAVING RECEIVED AT LEAST 1ST AND 2ND DOSE OF VACCINATION)

This position is located in District Heights, MD.

• Responsibilities and Duties: *

• Reliable Transportation to and from position is required.

• A clean background check is essential.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal/external persons.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general policies and guidelines.

• Ability to write reports and complete tracking forms efficiently. Good record keeping and organization skills required.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Ability to engage persons to encourage engagement and inclusion.

• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.

• Successfully complete the DDS Direct Support Personnel Training provided.

• Must have at least 3 years of experience working with persons with disabilities, preferably persons with intellectual disabilities.

Qualifications and Skills

Required education:

• High school or equivalent

Required experience:

• Direct Support Professional: 3 years

Required license or certification:

• CPR/First Aid

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
APPLICANT MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED (HAVING RECEIVED AT LEAST 1ST AND 2ND DOSE OF VACCINATION) Will be required to follow all Policies and Procedures set forth concerning COVID including wearing proper PPE for the duration of the shift.
