Position Summary: morning/day shift (10:00 am-5:30pm)

We are looking for Guest Service Associates (GSA) to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. GSA responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, fulfilling orders, maintaining a clean service environment, and keeping track of credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and familiarity with food handling. You should also be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities/Duties:

• Assist with doing dishes and adhering to dish cleaning protocols.
• Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of baked cookies as well as product rotation standards
• Complies with all health and safety guidelines and Batch & Box policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
• Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
• Create a genuine connection with our guests
• Manage transactions with customers using our Point of Sale (POS) system
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Maintain clean and tidy customer environment
• Bag, box or gift-wrap packages
• Fulfill take out orders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to understand written and verbal directions, interpret instructional documents, operating procedures and health and safety rules, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Can evaluate products, processes, information and surroundings to determine compliance with standards.
• Goes above and beyond to support the team or guest, and is reliable, trustworthy and responsive.
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Is diligent, organized and self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be a team player.
• Able to work weekends and Holidays

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

• A CA Food Handlers Card is preferred but not required at the time of hire.
• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Must be 18 years of age or older
